IRA Charitable Roll-Over:
Legislation adopted in 2010 extends until December 31, 2011 a provision known as the “Charitable IRA Roll-Over” which allows a taxpayer age 70 ½ or older to make tax-free transfers in CY 2011 not exceeding $100,000 in the aggregate ($200,00 for married couples) directly from his or her IRAs to public charities including a charity such as Central Church.
